Afromotive is a self described multi-ethnic group from Asheville, NC. Their music infuses African and dance beats and forms an amazing sound. I must admit that I've never been a fan of African music, but these guys just might have changed my mind. The song "Simbo" is rather infectious. The drum solo is absolutely AMAZING. While I'm not sure what the lyrics are, it really doesn't matter because the beat is awesome. The dejembe player in the group, Adama Dembele, is a thirty-third generation player and hails from Ivory Coast, West Africa.
